Painful small fiber neuropathy in sarcoidosis: A report of two patients. David S. Younger et al. Int J Neurol Res 2015; 1:14-17.

Punch skin biopsy was used to measured epidermal nerve fiber density in small fiber neuropathy and peripheral autonomic neuropathy.  This technique is safe and useful in reaching a conclusive diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy and in monitoring the response to immune modulatory therapy.
